ABSTRACT

@#AIM: To probe into the related influencing factors of serum lipoprotein associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)level in patients with diabetic retinopathy. <p>METHODS: Totally 174 cases of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and who treated in Department of Endocrinology from September 2015 to September 2017 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into the non-diabetic retinopathy group(NDR), non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy group(NPDR)and proliferative diabetic retinopathy group(PDR)according to the results of fundus examination. Then, the age, sex, body mass index(BMI), blood pressure, blood glucose, blood lipids, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), C-reactive protein(CRP), and Lp-PLA2 levels and other clinical data of three groups of patients were collected and compared. <p>RESULTS: There was significant differences in the duration of diabetes, fasting blood glucose(FBP), 2h postprandial blood glucose(2hBP), HbA1c, triacylglycerol(TG), total cholesterol(TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), VEGF, CRP, Lp-PLA2 between the three groups of patients(<i>P</i><0.05). There was no significant difference in serum TG, TC, HDL-C and CRP levels between NPDR group and NDR group(<i>P</i>>0.05). While there was significant difference in biochemical indexes of patients between PDR group and NDR group(<i>P</i><0.05). The VEGF, CRP and Lp-PLA2 in the PDR group were significantly higher than those in the NPDR group, and the difference was statistically significant(<i>P</i><0.05). Pearson correlation analysis found that the serum Lp-PLA2 was positively correlated with age, course of disease, 2hBG, TG, VEGF and CRP(<i>P</i><0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that serum Lp-PLA2 was positively correlated with the course of diabetes mellitus and serum level of VEGF(<i>P</i><0.05). <p>CONCLUSION: The level of serum Lp-PLA2 in patients with diabetic retinopathy are significantly increased, which the level is positively correlated with the duration of diabetes and serum VEGF level, thus it can be used as diagnostic index for diabetic retinopathy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of Atorvastatin Combined with valsartan on the degree of coronary artery lesion and the level of serum lipoprotein and C reactive protein in patients with coronary heart disea. Methods 95 cases of patients with coronary heart disease from September 2015 to September 2016 in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group, the control group were treated with atorvastatin, observation group of patients in the control group patients on the basis of the combination of valsartan treatment, severity of coronary artery disease, serum lipid and protein levels in patients with C reaction protein levels before and after treatment were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the patients in the observation group were fibrous plaque, calcified plaque, lipid plaque, mixed plaque were significantly decreased, and lower than that of control group, and control group before and after treatment of fibrous plaque, calcified plaque had no obvious change after treatment, the observation group were HDL,LDL,TG,TC were(2.12±1.01),3.27±0.94),(1.53±0.98),(3.35±1.78)was significantly higher than the control group, the difference was significant,2 months after treatment,3 months to observe the levels in patients with C reactive protein were(10.27±1.78)and(7.26±2.63)was significantly lower than the control group with significant difference, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Atorvastatin Combined with valsartan can help to reduce the coronary plaque, regulate lipid metabolism, reduce the level of C reactive protein.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the clinical significance of D‐D ,NT‐proBNP and serum lipoprotein(a) level in patients with acute ischemic stroke .Methods 150 cases of patients with acute ischemic stroke from March 2013 to March 2015 were selected as the observation group .And 50 cases of healthy physical examination were selected as control group .The levels of D‐D ,NT‐proBNP and serum lipoprotein(a) were detected in D groups .According to the nerve function defect score ,the three indexes were analyzed and studied .Results The D‐D polymer ,NT‐proBNP and serum lipoprotein(a) levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group ,the D groups were statistically significant(P<0 .05) .The levels of D‐D ,NT‐proBNP and serum lip‐oprotein(a) in the patients with severe were significantly higher than those in light and medium ,and the level of the three indexes increased gradually(P<0 .05) with the severity of the disease .Lacunar stroke with the D‐dimer ,NT‐proBNP and serum lipid pro‐tein(a) level was significantly higher than that in non lacunar group patients(P<0 .05) .Conclusion D‐D ,NT‐proBNP and serum lipoprotein(a) in the diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke patients are high clinical value ,it is worth popularizing widely .

ABSTRACT

Background: The fasting serum total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein (LDL-C) levels are used to calculate following lipid ratios: TC/HDL-C, TG/HDL-C, and LDL-C/HDL-C. Cholesterol retention fraction (CRF), non-HDL-C, LDL-C, TG and waist circumference (WC) one considered as markers for the identification of individuals with an increased risk for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). These individuals frequently show insulin resistance as well. We analyzed the association of lipoprotein ratios with the homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). Methods: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) patients (92) and 40 age match healthy controls were randomized from the Tapho Primary Health Care Unit and the area in the same district. The HOMA-IR was used to calculate for insulin resistance. The areas under the curves (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic curves (ROC) were used to compare the power of these serum lipoprotein ratios markers. Results: All lipoprotein ratios, lipid profile, blood pressure, and WC were significantly higher in T2D patients as compared to healthy controls (P<0.05). TC/HDL-C ratio, TG/HDL-C ratio, non-HDL-C, WC, TG, and TC were significantly correlated with HOMA-IR (P<0.05) as obtained by Spearman correlation analysis. The largest AUC of the ROC curve was obtained with the TC/HDL-C ratio as one parameter. Conclusion: TC/HDL-C ratio, TG/HDL-C, ratio, Non-HDL-C, WC, TG, and TC can be used as the markers of insulin resistance and CVD risk in T2D patients.
